Chichester, England

Chichester is a really nice part of England that I’d recommend going to. It’s less than two hours out of London, and in a weekend you can get a feel for their local market, have cream tea on the high street, and even go on a wine tasting. This was the best part for us.

We had a two hour wine tasting sampling three sparkling wines at The Tinwood Estate, and it was so fun! The vineyard was beautiful, the cheeseboard nicely complimented our wines, and the overall experience was relaxing and informative. The weather was also crisp but sunny so that made it more enjoyable.

Behind the scenes:

  • Stay anywhere in Chichester or the nearby towns and most taxi companies know The Tinwood Estate
  • There are also lodges you can rent overlooking the vineyards
  • The cheeseboard is an add-on, but definitely recommend
  • South Downs National Park is also nearby and great for long walks in the woods

Final thoughts:

  • Highly recommend The Tinwood Estate. The wine tasting itself was reasonably priced, and for a weekend out of London it was a nice time.

PS – drizzle honey over blue cheese – absolute game changer! (even for those who don’t like blue cheese)
